PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink cartridge that reduces air content in ink and enlarges a holding capacity of ink, while keeping its strength, by composing a surface of an ink holding portion with a flexible film. SOLUTION: An ink cartridge is provided with a body case 230 and a top cover 210. The body case 230 has a concave portion and a flexible film 302 covering and pasting the opening of the concave portion. Ink is contained between the concave portion and the flexible film 302. The top cover 210 is provided with a curved portion 212 that has the curvature of an approximately spherical shape to the direction separated from the concave portion at the position opposite to the concave portion and sandwiching the flexible film. The flexible film 302 has a gas transmit characteristic. The entire ink cartridge is wrapped with a sheet and drawn in vacuum to be held in vacuum packing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
