A mobile communication terminal, an operation method thereof, and a mobile communication system are provided to calculate a previous version of a domain key by using a particular version of a domain key without storing all of domain keys, thereby playing digital media having various versions. A memory(20) stores a domain key for digital media received through a communication unit(10). A controller(30) plays digital media having a previous version of a domain key by calculating the previous version of the domain key from the domain key stored in the memory. The controller stores the latest version of the domain key in the memory. State information of a mobile communication terminal is outputted through a display unit(40).
