A display device is provided to simplify a moving path between a category and contents, or the contents of the different categories by classifying the contents into each category corresponding to metadata, searching a representative image corresponding to the metadata, and displaying the category, category information, the contents, and contents information in one screen. A metadata extracting module(130) classifies contents into each category by referring to metadata assigned to each contents. A representative image searching module(150) searches a representative image of the contents and the category by referring to the metadata. A displaying module(160) displays the representative image and information corresponding to the contents by each category. A communicating module(140) performs communication of a predetermined mode for searching the representative image.
