METHOD OF MANAGING QUALITY OF SERVICE IN A PACKET-MODE MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

The process involves determining needs in quality of service (QoS) for a connection session by analyzing contents transported for the session. The QoS is adapted dynamically according to the needs in QoS. Different levels of the needs in QoS are defined and the QoS assigned to context packet data protocol is changed when the needs change from one level to another level. An Independent claim is also included for a unit of a mobile communication network.
