<p>The plies of paper or board 21 and 22 are embossed by passing them between embossing rollers 3 and 4 and 5 and 6. They are then laminated together in register so that the raised parts of the embossed design contact each other mirror fashion by means of embossing rollers 4 and 5 being geared to run in synchronisation. The outer liner plies are adhered at press section 19. Moisture balance is ensured by the paired plies being glued simultaneously at 8 and 9 and 13 and 14 and laminated simultaneously at nip 7 and press section 19.</p> |
