MODULAR UNIT FOR A RADAR ANTENNA ARRAY WITH INTEGRATED HF CHIP

The modular unit has a microwave structure antenna element, and a focusing element (200) located in a beam path of the radar antenna array upstream of the antenna element by which an amplified illumination of a HF chip (100) is achieved. An add-on device (115, 120) is provided which allows addition of focusing elements (200) of various antenna characteristics to the modular unit. The add-on device has a fastener such as clamp-on elements (120) or plug-in elements. Positioning elements (115) are additionally provided and add the focusing element to the modular unit with a required precision. An independent claim is included for a focusing element, and a method for the production of a module unit for a radar antenna arrangement.
