摘要 <p>PURPOSE: Provided is a liquid crystal composition which shows fast response to dynamic picture image and sufficient voltage holding ratio, due to low rotational viscosity, wide temperature range of the liquid crystal, low threshold voltage and high dielectric anisotropy compared to the conventional liquid crystal, by comprising an isothiocyanate compound. CONSTITUTION: The nematic liquid crystal composition comprises a nematic liquid crystal compound represented by formula 1, wherein R1 is an alkyl group having C1-C12, in which one or two CH2 groups that are not adjacent to each other can be substituted with -O-, -CO-, -OCO-, -COO- or -C=C-; each of A0 and A1 is independently or simultaneously cyclic -C6H10- or aromatic -C6H4-; each of X1 and X2 is independently or simultaneously F, Cl, CN or NCS; and l is an integer of 0 or 1. The liquid crystal display device using the nematic composition is TN(Twisted Nematic), STN(Super Twisted Nematic), TFT-TN(Thin Film Transistor-Twisted Nematic) or IPS(In Plane Switching) mode of the active matrix method.</p>
