DATA PROCESS METHOD USING JOURNALING FILE SYSTEM BASED ON FLASH MEMORY

A method for processing data with a flash memory-based journaling file system is provided to prevent degradation owing to writing in a computer system using a flash memory as a storage device by removing duplicated operation with a direction rotating method of an FTL(Flash Transformation Layer) for a home region and lengthen life of a flash memory by decreasing a write frequency of the flash memory. A journaling file system transacts data including a logical home region address to be stored(S11). The journaling file system writes the data to a logical address of a journaling region(S13). The journaling file system maps the logical address of the journaling region to a physical address of a flash memory for storing the data in an FTL(S15). The journaling file system writes the data to the physical address of the flash memory(S17). The journaling file system writes the data including the logical home region address to the logical region of the journaling region(S21). The journaling file system generates a direction rotation list from the home and journaling region logical addresses(S23). The journaling file system updates the FTL to the direction rotation list(S25).
