A method for manufacturing an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to prevent pixel arrays from being damaged while separating color filter arrays from each other by separating the color filter arrays from each other on a support substrate before a substrate-binding process. A plurality of color filter arrays(110) are formed on a first flexible substrate(105a), which is glued on a first support substrate(101a) by a first glue material(103a). A plurality of pixel arrays are formed a second substrate, which is glued on a second support substrate by a second glue material. The pixel arrays include a plurality of thin film transistors, and a plurality of pad terminals connected to wires of the thin film transistors and connected to a driving circuit. The first flexible substrate and the first glue material are cut along a first boundary(141) between the color filter arrays to expose the first support substrate, thereby the color filter arrays are separated from each other on the first support substrate. The first flexible substrate and the second flexible substrate are bound to each other by a sealant such that the pixel arrays are opposed to the separated color filter arrays separated on the first support substrate. The first glue material and the first support substrate are exfoliated from the flexible substrate to expose the pad terminals. The second glue material and the second support substrate are exfoliated from the second flexible substrate. The second flexible substrate is cut along a second boundary between the pixel arrays to separate the pixel arrays from each other. |
