A protective-united carbonaceous block for blast furnaces, characterized by comprising a carbonaceous block for constituting the brick layer of a blast furnace, a carbonaceous protective brick or silicon-carbide protective brick bonded through an adhesive to that surface of the carbonaceous block which is to face toward the furnace inside, and an oxidation-inhibitive material formed by coating fluid application on that surface of the carbonaceous protective brick or silicon-carbide protective brick which is to face toward the furnace inside.
