A system for filtering fabricated IP phone numbers and a method for operating the same are provided to prevent caller numbers from being illegally fabricated by filtering a caller number which makes a call connection request from an IP phone network, outputting a warning message if the caller number is not included in an MDN band, and managing the history. A system for filtering fabricated IP phone numbers consists of an IP phone network(100) and a mobile communication network(200). The IP phone network analyzes a call connection request signal originated from an IP phone or a TM(TeleMarketing) enterpriser, outputs a warning message when the caller number is filtered as a number which is not included in an MDN band, accumulatively manages the detection count, drops the call connection after comparing the detection count with a preset threshold, and records the history. The mobile communication network analyzes a call connection request inputted through an appointed incoming trunk from the IP phone network. If the caller number is filtered as a number which is not included in an MDN band appointed to the incoming trunk, the mobile communication network outputs a warning message, accumulatively manages the detection count, drops the call connection after comparing the detection count with a preset threshold, and records the history.
