A light emitting apparatus is provided to prevent electrons from penetrating the base body of a spacer by installing a spacer including a plurality of resistance layers. First and second substrates face each other. An electron emission unit is prepared in the first substrate. A light emission unit is prepared in the second substrate. A spacer(28) supports the first and second substrates to separate the substrates from each other, positioned between the first and second substrates. The spacer includes a base body, a first resistance layer and a third resistance layer wherein the first and second resistance layers are sequentially formed on the base body. The resistance of the first resistance layer is greater than that of the second resistance layer. The first resistance layer can be formed on the lateral surface of both ends of the base body adjacent to the first and second substrates.
