A rotary dryer for agricultural and fishery products is provided to perform hygienic drying, to reduce electric consumption by maximizing heat efficiency and to improve working efficiency by quick drying. A rotary dryer for agricultural and fishery products comprises: a body(2) comprising an air-blast room(4) with an inlet and a drying room(6) with a discharge pipe(12); a blower(10) providing air blast action inside the air-blast room; a heater supplying heat to the interior of the drying room; a drum(26) with a plurality of through-holes, installed on a support roller(24) and connected to a geared motor through its shaft rod; and a blocking plate protruded from both side walls of the drying room and contacting the drum. The air-blast room and drying room are in connection with each other through a connection hole(8). The heater is a near-infrared heater(18,22).
