SUBMERGED POLY TETRAFLUORO ETHYLENE MEMBRANE BIOREACTOR AND ADVANCED WASTEWATER TREATMENT PROCESS USING THE SAME

A submerged poly tetrafluoro ethylene membrane bioreactor is provided to improve filtration performance of the membrane by using a PTFE(Poly TetraFluoro Ethylene) membrane excellent in chemical resistance, and to reduce the amount of excess sludge substantially by solubilizing sludge and constantly maintaining the concentration of microorganisms in the bioreactor at the same time, and an advanced wastewater treatment process using the same is provided. A submerged PTFE membrane bioreactor comprises: a membrane coupled activated sludge treatment apparatus(100) including a degassing/mixing tank(111) for mixing wastewater with returned sludge and removing dissolved oxygen of wastewater, an anoxic tank(112) and a membrane aerobic tank(113) for removing nitrogen of wastewater passing through the degassing/mixing tank, a PTFE membrane solid-liquid separator(114) having a membrane module made from PTFE and included in the membrane aerobic tank, a diffuser(115) installed under the membrane module of the PTFE membrane solid-liquid separator to provide the membrane module with air, a blower(120) connected to the diffuser to inject air into the diffuser, a sludge return line(130) for returning a portion of sludge produced in the membrane aerobic tank to the degassing/mixing tank, and a drain(140) for discharging excess sludge produced in the membrane aerobic tank; a flocculant injector(200) connected to the membrane aerobic tank to inject a flocculant into the membrane aerobic tank such that the membrane aerobic tank converts phosphorous contained in wastewater to an insoluble compound by using the flocculant to remove the phosphorous; and a membrane backwashing unit(300) connected to the PTFE membrane solid-liquid separator to solubilize the sludge by injecting an alkali agent into the membrane aerobic tank and backwashing the membrane periodically.
