A method for driving a plasma display panel is provided to prevent erroneous operation due to EMI(ElectroMagnetic Interference) by reducing a peak value of EMI radiation amounts according to the reduction of instantaneous current quantity. In a method for driving a plasma display panel including plural pixels having first and second electrodes, and third electrodes across the first and second electrodes, a voltage is applied to the third electrodes of at least one among pixels to be driven. A scan voltage and a display data voltage are applied to the first and third electrodes of pixel to be driven. Discharge is maintained by applying voltages having opposed phases to the first and second electrodes of the pixel to be driven.
