摘要 A process for producing a polarizer which comprises laminating a polarizer-protective film (A) to one side of a polarizing element and laminating a polarizer-protective film (B) to the other side. The process for polarizer production is characterized in that the polarizer-protective film (A) is a polarizer-protective film produced by extruding a melt comprising a cellulosic resin from a die to obtain a melt film and conveying it while pressing it against a cooling roll with a touch roll so as to result in a drawing ratio of 10 to 30, the touch roll comprising an outer cylinder and an inner cylinder each made of a metal and having therebetween a space for a cooling medium, and that the linear pressure of the touch roll being pressed against the melt film is 1-15 kg/cm. It is further characterized in that the polarizer-protective film (A), a polarizing element, and a polarizer-protective film (B) comprising a noncrystalline polyolefin resin are laminated together. (The drawing ratio is a value obtained by dividing the lip clearance (C) of the die by the average film thickness of the film solidified on the cooling roll.)
