An image storing method of a mobile terminal is provided to use a storage space effectively by removing the necessity of storing the entire image contents and to extract a frame according to a scene change of images. A scene change rate reference value setting signal is inputted to set a scene change rate reference value(S210). An image input unit receives an image including a plurality of frames(S220). A controller measures a scene change rate of the frames of the received image(S230). The controller compares the measured scene change rate and a pre-set scene change rate reference value(S240). If the measured change rate of the frames is larger than the pre-set change rate reference value, the controller stores the corresponding frames in a storage unit(S250).
