摘要 |
A nonlinear optical material and an optical device are provided to achieve a transmissive operation at a near infrared communication wavelength band, to increase an entire interaction length, and to improve nonlinear phase shift by increasing a size of an electric field applied into a metal layer. A transparent layer(2) receives circularly-polarized pump beams and transmits pump beams of a near infrared communication wavelength band. A metal-transparent layer multilayered structure receives each movement amount of the pump beams transmitting the transparent layer, and arranges a spin direction of free electrons to be parallel to a progress direction of light. In the metal-transparent layer multilayered structure, metal layers(1) for forming a vector magnetic field are alternatively arranged. |
