The device (1) has a support structure (4) connected to a lower part (2c) of a vertical mast support (2) by a helical spring housed in a hollow column (6) of the support structure. The spring exerts tractive effort on the support to bring back its vertical position, during the tilting of the support towards its horizontal position at which the weight of the support is balanced with the retaining strength exerted by the spring. The lower part of the support is articulated to the upper part of the column.
