Disclosed is a laminate steel sheet for a two-piece can having a high deg ree of processing and satisfying the requirements represented by the formula e shown below, wherein the centerline surface roughness (Ra) of the surface of a polyester resin layer constituting the laminate sheet is 0.2 to 1.8 .mu .m inclusive: r1<=r, 0.1<=(r1/R)<=0.25 and 1.5<=[h/(R-r)]<=4 [wherein h: the height of a two-piece can, r: the largest radius, r1: the sm allest radius, R: a radius of a unshaped, disk-like laminate at which the we ight of the laminate steel sheet having the same weight as that of the can.
