PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filtration apparatus which is capable of conducting the back washing of a filter, of attempting the miniaturization and low cost in the manufacture of equipment constitution, and of easily controlling switching. SOLUTION: The filtration apparatus is provided with a circulation switching means 6 and a passage switching means 10. The circulation switching means 6 is provided with a driving source 7 to supply the driving force from the supply source 2 side to the destination 3 side into a liquid 1 on the main passage 4, a first bypassing passage 8 branched from the main passage 4 so that it straddles the driving source 7 and a second bypassing passage 9 branched from the main passage 4 so that it straddles the driving source 7, which branched positions are located nearer to the destination 3 side than to the branched position betweens the main passage 4 and the first bypassing passage 8, respectively. The passage switching means 10 switches the forward direction state to prevent the circulation of the liquid 1 at each bypassing passage 8, 9 and to allow the circulation of the liquid 1 between the branched positions of the bypassing passages 8, 9 and the main passage 4 at the upstream side and the downstream side of the driving source 7, and the reverse direction state to allow the circulation of the liquid 1 at the bypassing passages 8, 9 and to prevent the circulation of the liquid 1 between the branched positions of the bypassing passage 8, 9 and the main passage 4 at the upstream side and the downstream side of the driving source 7.
