A polarizer adhesion device and an adhesion method are provided to prevent the entire substrate from being in a fault state according as a polarizing piece including a fault element is adhered to the substrate, and prevent increase of waste material caused by the substrate fault. A polarizing film supply unit interposes an adhesive layer in one side, and supplies a roll type polarizing film adhered with a protection film at predetermined supply speed. An encoding unit inspects a fault element of the polarizing film, and sequentially transmits location information of the inspected fault element(S1). A polarizing film cutting unit vertically cuts the polarizing film adhered with the protection film with respect to a progress direction of the polarizing film as leaving the protection film. The polarizing film cutting unit cuts the polarizing film into first and second polarizing pieces according to the location information of the fault element transmitted from the encoding unit. The first polarizing piece includes no fault element. The second polarizing piece includes the fault element. The polarizing film cutting unit sequentially transmits length information of the first and second polarizing pieces to a polarizing piece adhesion unit according to a cutting order(S2). The polarizing piece adhesion unit divides protection films of the first and second polarizing pieces cut by the polarizing film cutting unit. The polarizing piece adhesion unit adheres the first polarizing piece, where the protection film is divided, to a substrate supplied through a substrate transfer device according to length information transmitted from the polarizing film cutting unit. A fault removing unit removes the second polarizing piece by adhering the second polarizing piece, where the protection film is separated by the polarizing film adhesion unit, according to the length information transmitted from the polarizing film cutting unit(S4). |
