<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain frequency management without needing a frequency management server. <P>SOLUTION: In a plurality of image forming apparatuses connected through a network to execute jobs according to a usable frequency, a management server function for managing an image-outputtable frequency for each image forming apparatus is set to one of the plurality of image forming apparatuses connected through the network. At that time, the management server function is set to an image forming apparatus with the largest residual frequency. This image forming apparatus confirms the residual frequency every lapse of given length of time.
