<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool having a plurality of tools and its control method capable of making tool replacement using an automatic tool replacing device and allowing the balance adjustment to be performed quickly which the tool replacement may require. <P>SOLUTION: The configuration according to the invention comprises a wheel rotary spindle which is rotated to hold a tool for processing a work and is supported rotatably, a tool replacement unit to replace a tool prepared in the prescribed position with another tool held on the side of the wheel rotary spindle, a rotation balance adjusting device to make balance adjustment in association with the rotation of the rotary spindle, a tool information storing part to store the tool information including the replacing frequency of the tool held on the side of the rotary spindle and also the balance data, and a control part to make control so as to perform the rotation balance adjustment by operating the rotation balance adjusting device on the basis of the information about the tool held by the wheel rotary spindle, which is stored in the tool information storing part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
