<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter tube at a low cost without extending an integrated tube, having the proximal side with high rigidity and excellent liquid feeding property and having the distal end side whose inner/outer diameters are thinner than those of the proximal side, with excellent flexibility and kink resistance, without impairing the flexibility in a thin soft part of the tube with a reinforcing layer without changing the winding pitch of the reinforcing layer (the distance between lattices if knitted), with little variation of dimensions in the longitudinal direction by preventing extension in the thin and flexible distal end part of the catheter tube with a reinforcing member in the axial direction; a catheter tube continuous body; and a method of manufacturing the catheter tube. <P>SOLUTION: The catheter tube continuous body comprises a core with thick parts and thin parts continued at prescribed intervals, and a coated body obtained by coating and molding thermoplastic resin over the core. The catheter tube continuous body is cut at prescribed positions in the thick parts and in the thin parts of the core, and the core is removed to make the catheter tube. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
