PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembly structure for a packing in a cylinder valve which can be downsized, wherein the packing is small, is manufactured at low cost, and is easily installed to a valve case. SOLUTION: In the assembly structure for a ring-shaped packing 114 installed around an opening 36 of the valve case 28 of the cylinder valve in which the opening 36 for water connection is formed in the peripheral wall of the valve case 28 in which a cylinder valve body is fitted, a compression retaining portion 130, which axially presses each axial corresponding end of the packing 114, to hold it in an elastically compressed state, is provided axially at each end of the edge of the opening 36 of the valve case 28, in a shape extending perpendicularly to the axis of the valve case 28, so that the packing is retained by the compression retaining portion 130.
