PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base isolation structure capable of relieving restriction on a structurer shape, capable of improving workability, easy in maintenance, and resistible even if earth-water pressure acts only from one side. SOLUTION: This base isolation structure 1 has a retaining wall 21 and a base 22 constructed in the ground, and a building 10 constructed on the base 22 via a base isolation device 3. The building 10 has a floor slab 14 arranged by abutting between the mutual retaining walls 21 and sharing earth pressure of the earth-water pressure. Since the earth pressure is shared by allowing the floor slab 14 to abut on the retaining wall 21, the wall thickness of the retaining wall 21 can be reduced. The floor slab 14 is higher in a degree of freedom of a shape than timbering, to thereby more flexibly cope with a shape of the retaining wall and the base than when conventionally arranging the timbering between the mutual retaining walls. As a result, restriction on a building shape can be relieved, and workability can be improved, and can be easily maintained.
