摘要 A method of treating food waste by fermenting a raw material comprising the food waste by means of a koji mold to obtain a liquid substance. The koji mold is a koji mold belonging to genus Aspergillus capable of producing citric acid. The liquid substance comprises a citric add produced by the koji mold and has a pH of 5.5 or less. The method enables food waste to be used for feed without the problems usually associated with pig farming techniques using garbage. Additionally, the method allows food wastes to be preserved for a long time without putrefaction. Also offered is a feed composition comprising a treated food waste.
