OFDM TRANSMITTER AND OFDM RECEIVER

An OFDM transmitter is provided with a pilot/data arranging section for arranging a pilot/data symbol on an OFDM symbol. An OFDM receiver is provided with an antenna for receiving an OFDM signal transmitted from the antenna of the OFDM transmitter; a wireless section, which performs frequency conversion and the like to the OFDM signal, i.e., the received RF signal, into a base band signal; a frequency offset estimating section for estimating an offset value; and a frequency offset correcting section for performing frequency compensation for the frequency offset. With the OFDM transmitter and the OFDM receiver, data transmission efficiency is improved in environments with much propagation delay, suitable frequency offset correction is performed and receiving characteristics are prevented from deteriorating by reducing data interference between subcarriers.
