SUBSTRATE FOR PATTERN FORMATION AND METHOD FOR FORMING PATTERN OF NANOCRYSTAL USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for forming a pattern and a method for forming a pattern of nanocrystals using the substrate.

SOLUTION: The substrate for forming a pattern has an inorganic layer formed on a substrate, the inorganic layer having a modified surface, wherein the modified layer is formed by coating the surface of the inorganic layer with a bifunctional compound having a functional group having affinity for a nanocrystal at one end of the molecule, and a functional group having affinity for the inorganic layer at the other end of the molecule. The invention also provides a method for forming a pattern of nanocrystals using the above substrate.
