PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high viscosity fluid cooling system accurately performing engine performance test while preventing complication or the like of a heat exchanger. SOLUTION: The high viscosity fluid cooling system 1 is provided with: a spiral type heat exchanger 7 exchanging heat between engine oil sent to an engine 2 and coolant cooled by a cooling device 8; an oil temperature measuring instrument 53 measuring the temperature of the engine oil sent out from the spiral type heat exchanger 7; a coolant temperature measuring instrument 49 measuring temperature of coolant supplied to the spiral type heat exchanger 7; and a controller 51 successively setting a target value of the temperature of the coolant supplied to the spiral type heat exchanger 7 as a value provided by subtracting a predetermined value from the temperature measured by the oil temperature measuring instrument 53 and controlling a three-way valve 41 by comparing the set target value and the temperature of the coolant measured by the coolant temperature measuring instrument 49.
