PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic dictionary device capable of easily entering a keyword. SOLUTION: In the electronic dictionary device 1000 for retrieving and displaying information about a designated keyword, a history storing part 141 stores past retrieved keywords. A keyword reception processing part 132 receives a character input for designating a keyword to be a retrieval target. When the keyword reception processing part 132 receives the character input, a storage and retrieval processing part 134 acquires information representing a keyword from the history storing part 141. A retrieval result display processing part 135 displays keywords corresponding to the information representing the keyword acquired by the storage and retrieval processing part 134. A retrieval result designation and reception processing part 136 receives the designation of a desired keyword among keywords displayed by the retrieval result display processing part 135, and inputs the desired keyword to the keyword reception processing part 132.
