PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock-absorbing material for packing capable of adequately protecting an article to be packed by sufficiently mitigating a large shock when it is applied while the article is packed in a packing box. SOLUTION: In the shock-absorbing material for packing, a fitting hole 12 is formed in a first shock-absorbing member 10 formed of a foamed material in a piercing manner, and a second shock-absorbing member 20 formed of the foamed material and abutted on the article 2 to be packed is fitted to the fitting hole so as to pierce the fitting hole in the first shock-absorbing member.
