PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device producing such a degree of friction force as to suppress vibration between links while suppressing the wear of the links by keeping adequate-sized contact between the links. SOLUTION: Misalignment which occurs between pulleys is maximum when a gear ratio is 1:1 and zero during under-drive. A gap G is provided between the neighboring links 11 arrayed in the cross direction of a chain. The size of the gap G is set in a range of 10-80% of a misalignment amount per one link.
