PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constant velocity universal joint which can improve impact absorbing performance on collision with a simple structure. SOLUTION: The constant velocity universal joint is provided with an outer joint member, an inner joint member, and a sealing strip 8. The outer joint member is connected to the opening end of a first shaft, and the inner joint member connected to a second shaft is provided inside so that it can freely slide in the axial direction with respect to the outer joint member. The sealing strip 8 is provided inside on the end side of the outer joint member which is connected to the first shaft. The sealing strip 8 is constituted by integrally adhering a rubber member 13 to the outer surface of the reinforcing plate 12 to form a slit 15 on the reinforcing plate 12.
