A carrier catalyst for metathesis reactions, comprising an active component (A) having Re<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>7</SUB> and B<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB>, and a carrier component (B) having SiO<SUB>2</SUB> and AI<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB>, wherein the SiO<SUB>2</SUB> portion in the carrier component is 50 to 90% by weight and the AI<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB> portion in the carrier component is 10 to 50% by weight, and the Re<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>7</SUB> portion in the carrier catalyst is 1 to 10% by weight and the B<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB> portion in the carrier catalyst is 0.5 to 10% by weight, is particularly suited for the metathesis reaction of functionalized olefins, such as oleic acid methyl ester. |
