VANILLOID RECEPTOR (VR1) INHIBITOR AND USE THEREOF

Disclosed is a novel vanilloid receptor (VR1) inhibitor which can be used as an effective therapeutic agent for an acute pain and/or a chronic pain which has less adverse side effects and can be used safely. The vanilloid receptor (VR1) inhibitor comprises at least one member selected from a dibenzo[b,f]thiepin compound having at least two hydroxy groups, a dibenzo[b,f]oxepin compound having at least two hydroxy groups and pharmaceutically acceptable salts of the compounds as an active ingredient. Preferably, in the dibenzo[b,f]thiepin compound or the dibenzo[b,f]oxepin compound, two hydroxy groups are located on a benzene ring at a resorcinol configuration.
