PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dynamic pressure fluid bearing device capable of improving durability and reliability by preventing generation of negative pressure in the bearing even when receiving impact or vibration; a spindle motor equipped with it; and a recording and reproducing device.

SOLUTION: This spindle motor 1 is provided with a radial bearing part 42 having a radial dynamic pressure generation groove 41 formed on the inside surface of a sleeve 32 and relatively rotatably supporting the sleeve 32 and a shaft 31 through oil 34. A tapered seal part 36 of a tapered structure having one end in the axial direction of the shaft 31 faced to the atmosphere is formed among an outer peripheral surface in a different diameter part 31b of the shaft 31, a sleeve cap 32b being a part of the sleeve 32 and an inner peripheral surface. On the sleeve cap 32b attached to an upper part of the sleeve 32, a slit 39 making the tapered seal part 36 communicate with the radial bearing part 42 is formed along the radial direction of the shaft 31.
