<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector which displays a visible image and an invisible infrared image superimposed on a projection screen for controlling the displayed image, and is made simple and conveniently portable. <P>SOLUTION: The projector includes: a light source 2 which emits light including visible light and infrared light; an optical period separation means (rotating color filter 4) which separates in time the light from the light source into one or more visible light beams having different wave length bands and one or more infrared light beams having different wavelength bands; an optical modulation element (liquid crystal light valve 9) which modulates period-sequentially a plurality of light beams separated with the optical period separation means and having different wavelength bands; and a projection means (projection lens 10) which projects and displays the modulated light modulated with the optical modulation element onto a projection screen, wherein the projector is characterized in displaying a plurality of images including visible light images and infrared light images superimposing on the one and the same projection screen. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
