PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a driver from being irritable as much as possible when traffic congestion occurs and vehicles are temporarily stopped. SOLUTION: This information providing device 1 for a vehicle is provided with a stop detecting means 17 for detecting that travelling vehicles temporarily stop, a displaying means 7 for displaying various information that can be visually recognized by occupants, and a control means for displaying a plurality of pieces of information on the displaying means 7 while preventing the same kind of information from continuing while the vehicles temporarily stop. Since a driver can look at the plurality of pieces of information displayed on the displaying means, the driver has a good time without being irritable when the traffic congestion occurs and the vehicles are temporarily stopped.
