摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for measuring the electromagnetic characteristic of a metal analyte capable of reducing the influence of disturbance without damaging the characteristic of a ferromagnetic body core with a U shape. SOLUTION: The electromagnetic characteristic measuring apparatus 1 has a magnetometric sensor 8 formed by winding one exciting coil 4 and four detecting coils 6a-6d about the ferromagnetic body core 2. The ferromagnetic body core 2 has four legs 16a-16d and has a cross section of a substantially H shape. The exciting coil 4 is arranged in the center of or close to the ferromagnetic body core 2. Four detecting coils 6a-6d are formed of coils 6a and 6b for measuring a detecting object characteristic wound about two legs 16a and 16b arranged facedly to the metal analyte 18 and coils 6c and 6d for detecting disturbance wound about two legs 16a and 16b that do not face to the metal analyte 18, respectively.
