<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine unit for effectively supplying a lubricant to a clutch mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: The engine unit 12 comprises a crankshaft 20, a connecting rod 24 connected with the crankshaft 20, an oil pump 60, a clutch shaft 40 having a clutch shaft body 40b and centrifugal clutch 40c, and a reduction mechanism 16 having a reduction shaft 16a parallel to the crankshaft 20. The oil pump 60 supplies the lubricant to a connecting section 42 between the crankshaft 20 and connecting rod 24. The clutch shaft body 40b is arranged to be parallel to the crankshaft 20. The clutch shaft body 40b is arranged to be adjacent to the crankshaft 20 rather than the reduction shaft 16a.
