PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a child seat capable of reducing an impact at the time of a head-on collision of a vehicle, with a shell installed facing the vehicle rear side. SOLUTION: The child seat 1 is installed on a seat cushion 2 of the vehicle while facing backward. When a head-on collision occurs in the vehicle, a pin 29 is moved to the forwardly obliquely upward direction along a guide 14, a link arm 30 is rotated toward the forwardly obliquely upward direction, and the shell 20 is moved to the forwardly obliquely upward direction totally. At this time, a rod 37 is pulled by a third pivot 36 and moved forward relatively with respect to a hanging wall 24. As a result, an impact absorbing material 40 is pressed and contracted, and the movement speed of the shell 20 to the forwardly obliquely upward direction is gradually reduced, so as to absorb the impact on the forwardly obliquely upward direction.
