PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent rainwater from falling on the connection part of a speed reducer to a link mechanism and the fastening part of the speed reducer to a frame. SOLUTION: This wiper device comprises a drive unit 19 having a motor 17 and the speed reducer 18, the frame 16 to which the speed reducer 18 of the drive unit 19 is fastened and fixed, the link mechanism connected to the drive unit 19 to swing a pivot shaft mounted on the frame 16, and a waterproof cover 30 covering the drive unit 19. The waterproof cover 30 comprises a body part 30a covering the connection part of the speed reducer 18 to the frame 16, a first holding part 34 holding the yoke 17a of the motor 17, and a second holding part holding the frame 16.
