A diamond sinter which has higher hardness than conventional diamond sinters and has excellent wearing resistance. The diamond sinter comprises diamond particles and a binder and has pores. It is characterized in that the content of the diamond particles is 80-98 vol.%, excluding 98 vol.%, and that the binder comprises: a solid solution comprising carbon, tungsten, and at least one element selected from the group consisting of titanium, zirconium, vanadium, niobium, and chromium; and an iron-group element. It is further characterized in that adjacent diamond particles are bonded to each other.
