The invention relates to a method for producing a chassis and/or body component, hereafter simply called the final component, from a heat-treated preferably metal material, said material being at least locally hardened. The finished (9 a-d) and/or final product formed from a single component or a component assembly is at least partly formed. The at least partly formed finished or final product is then selectively locally hardened by induction.
