The unit has a supplement module (5) including an activatable circuit unit arranged between sensor lines (6, 7). A controllable circuit arrangement (10) is arranged with an inductive component (11). A connection (9) of the inductive component is attached over a diode (13) to a capacitor storage unit (14), where the connection faces the circuit arrangement. The storage unit is laid at a connection (15) between a connecting cable (4) and the sensor line (7). A control port (19) of the circuit arrangement is connected with a common circuit point (18) by the diode and the storage unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for detecting measured variables and for responding an activatable circuit unit in a measured variable detection system.
