<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To selectively transmit serial data to a plurality of slave devices from a master device without increasing the number of signal lines to be output from the master device, without increasing the number of bits of the serial data. <P>SOLUTION: The master device changes over a pulse width of a strobe signal STB according to a storage address of the opposite slave device to be transmitted.
