<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulley unit capable of starting an engine with low torque without transmitting power to accessary components in starting the engine, and of transmitting power to the accessary components after starting the engine. <P>SOLUTION: Cylindrical rollers 14 as clutch members are arranged between an inner ring 81 for connecting a crank shaft 1 of the engine thereto and an outer ring 4. Since the inner ring 81 and the outer ring 4 are cut from each other in a low-speed rotation state where the engine is started, it is not necessary to drive the accessary components. Thereby, the engine can be rotated with low torque, and as a result, the size and cost of a starter motor of the engine can be reduced. The inner ring 81 and the outer ring 4 are brought into an engagement state to be integrally rotated in a high-speed rotation state after the engine is started, whereby drive force of the engine can be transmitted to the accessary components. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
