PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve reduction in power consumption, easy layout, and efficient signal transmission, and stable black level control. SOLUTION: A solid-state imaging device comprises an imaging pixel means composed of imaging pixels arranged in row and column directions, a vertical transfer means of outputting pixel signals from imaging elements in respective columns of a selected row to vertical signal lines provided to the respective columns, amplifier means provided for vertical signal lines of the respective columns and receiving pixel signals from imaging pixels in the respective columns, a plurality of horizontal signal lines, and a horizontal transfer means of transferring pixel signals held in the amplifier means in the respective columns into the plurality of horizontal signal lines.
